Earlier this month the Honiton Cub Scouts from 1st Honiton Scout Group held a charity car wash and the event raised £261.

The car wash took place on 10 June outside the CUB, which is located on School Lane.

The youngsters were kept busy washing cars inside and out. Some cars had pre-booked their slot but many people drove in on the day.

Jenny Beckett is one of the Honiton Scout leaders. She told Nub News: "The Cubs were kept very busy and did a great job of washing the cars inside and out. They managed to raise a whopping £261.

"Well done to everyone who took part and came along to have their car washed!"

The money raised will be split between the Raise the Roof campaign and the 1st Honiton Scout Group.

The 1st Honiton Scouts recently raised the money for a new roof on their own hall and so they decided to help out another group who are in need of funds. It took the 1st Honiton Scouts a year to raise the funds to replace their food and the construction was completed in March 2023.
