In the aftermath of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen, here is some information that you may find useful.

·      A civic church service will take place for her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in Sidmouth on Sunday 18 September. Spaces are limited so if you wish to attend please call 01395 517535 or email [email protected] by the afternoon of Friday 16 September.

·      There will be a Minute Silence across the country, including East Devon, on Sunday 18 September at 8pm. Residents in East Devon are invited to join in this Moment of Reflection.

·      The Queen's funeral is taking place on Monday 19 September in London. Train services to the capital are expected to be extremely busy. Trains from Honiton to London on Sunday are no longer showing availability. You can plan your journey here.

·      The day of the funeral is a bank holiday. As a result, bins will be collected one day later across East Devon.

·      Many shops will close on Monday and scheduled appointments may be cancelled. LED Leisure Centres will all remain closed on Monday.

·      Residents wishing to leave a message in a condolence book can do so in a range of locations across East Devon. In Honiton, the book is at Blackdown House and it is available between 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday and between 10am and 1pm on weekends.

There are also books in Axminster, Ottery St. Mary and Seaton. If you are unable to sign a book in person or online, you can call 01404 515616 and leave a message and a member of staff will add the message for you.

·      You can write in the online Condolence Book here.

·      If you wish to leave a floral tribute, you can do so at the Honiton War Memorial
