New data released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) yesterday (June 12) show the number of deaths that have been recorded as a result of the coronavirus, by postcode area.

An interactive map of the UK allows users to search specific localities detailing how many people have died with the Covid-19 virus.

In Honiton three deaths have been recorded.

In surrounding areas, one death was recorded in Ottery St Mary, 10 in Axminster and five in Sidmouth.

The hyperlocal breakdown shows deaths where Covid-19 was the underlying cause or was mentioned on the death certificate as a contributory factor between March 1 and May 31, registered by June 6 2020.

These figures can be compared to the last set of ONS statistics for Honiton produced on May 1.
