The newly refurbished Citizens Advice Honiton offices are open and offering a range of new services.

Located next to Honiton Library on New Street, the Honiton branch of Citizens Advice has been at the premises for 25 years.

Newly appointed CEO of East Devon Citizens Advice, Tim Bridger, commented: "We want to make people aware that we are open again and offering a range of new services aimed at helping people with Universal Credit claims and giving specialist energy advice.

"Our aim, as always, is to make people aware of all the help and benefits they might be entitled to and to assist them in claiming those entitlements.

"In rural East Devon, wth poor public transport and with many of our clients being unable to get to us, providing support and advice through a wide range of channels is crucial."

Citizens Advice is a charity organisation which was set up in 1939 to help people put their lives back together after the devastation of war.

This year Citizens Advice celebrated its 80th anniversary.

The free, volunteer-run service is an independent body providing confidential advice and a comprehensive signposting service for UK residents.

It covers a wide range of topics, including debt, health and legal issues.
