A Yellow Weather Warning for wind remains in place for the Honiton area today as Storm Ciara continues to batter East Devon.

The Met Office extended its weather warning over the weekend and has warned the public to continue to expect delays to road, rail, air and ferry travel.

Drivers of high-sided vehicles are also being warned to avoid exposed areas during the high winds.

Today will remain cold throughout and heavy showers can be expected all the day, 'with some falling as a mix of rain, hail and snow on higher ground'.

Some areas will be exposed to gale force winds and today's maximum temperature will be no higher than 8C.

Tonight showers will continue but there will be some clear spells. It will remain windy and temperatures are likely to drop to around 1C.

Tomorrow will be another blustery day with heavy showers expected throughout. It will remain cold, particularly in and around the showers.

Wednesday will start off frosty and will be cold with sunny spells and possibly wintry showers over the hills.

Further showers and longer spells of rain can be expected going into Thursday and Friday. It is forecast to remain windy all week.
