Honiton Rugby Football Club are proud to announce a new sponsorship agreement with three local companies who will be the main sponsors of the Junior section of the club for the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.

The sponsorship agreement relates to the purchase of 100 new shirts to be used by five teams in the junior section of the club and we are extremely grateful to Red Homes Estate Agents, Bests of Honiton and Synergy Farm Vets for their expanded support to the club.

What a great morale boost we had at the weekend! As I said last week, we got a 'kicking' from Bideford when we went up there and when I watched them warming up it looked like the same personnel would be on show, so I was a tad concerned - or was I?

It was strange. Our team sheet looked good and there was a sort of air of confidence about the place. I couldn't find anyone 'mood hoovering' the notion of anything but a win.

I'll start with the fact that once again our Twos were without a game. We were due to go to South Moulton with a strong side, but at the last minute we got the dreaded call to say they couldn't raise a side.

Honiton received the kick off and started solidly. Early exchanges around the half way line saw Honiton enjoy early possession add in a turnover and the away side were holding their own.

Several penalties to the home side saw them pressure the Honiton try line but strong defence and winning a penalty at the breakdown saw the pressure relieved.
