The Beehive has an accessible Changing Space that members of the public are welcome to use.

The Beehive is an award-winning centre that hosts local groups, Honiton Town Council and events such as theatre, film and the recent Community FunD Day.

The Changing Space is located on the ground floor and is accessible to wheelchair users and people with mobility problems.

The room features a wide door for ease of access, large central space, a shower, hoist, toilet and privacy curtain.

Carers are also welcome to attend.

Caroline Retter is the Deputy Manager at The Beehive. She told Nub News: "We want the town to know that we have this facility, and it is available for everyone to use.

"Sometimes people don't have access to what they need, but we have this facility here and we want people to come and use it.

"Perhaps their needs have changed recently and they need extra space for a wheelchair or a hoist, or maybe they are waiting for their own facilities to be made accessible.

"The Beehive is a community space for the people of Honiton, and any person who needs to use our accessible Changing Space is very welcome."

The Changing Space is available anytime that The Beehive is open and it is free to use - you do not need to be using the building for another reason to visit.

You can book the room by calling 01404 384 050
