Honiton: Here is the full schedule of what is happening for the Queen’s Jubilee

The Jubilee Working Group have released the full schedule of events for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Weekend, and it looks set to be a fantastic weekend.

As well as events which are taking place on the day there are a number of other activities and events that have already happened. An oak tree was planted in The Glen to mark the occasion and the children of Honiton's three schools are creating a tiled decoration which will be displayed in town.

As well as this, a special piece of Honiton Lace has been commissioned and it has been created by Mrs Pat Perryman. It will be presented to The Queen. 

Here is what is happening in Honiton over the four-day weekend

From 30 May: Spot the Object and A Right Royal Hunt

Thursday June 2

2pm at St Paul's Church: Town Crier's proclamation of the lighting of the beacon

9pm – 10.45pm Roundball Hill: Lighting of the beacon with Town Crier

Saturday 4 June

9am – 4pm: Queen's Jubilee Street Market, High Street Charity Stalls on Northcote Lane

9am – 4pm Allhallows Playing Fields:

All day: Twin Tigers, Honiton Rugby and Football Clubs,

10am: GoJu Ryu Karate

10am – 12pm: Honiton Gymnastic Club

11am: East Devon Dance

1pm – 2pm: Honiton Twirlstars

1.30 – 2pm: JW Dance

10am: Historic Fun Run, starting and finishing at St. Paul's Church 

4pm – 10pm: Honiton Street Disco and Concert

Sunday 5 June

10.30am – 12pm: Street Parade and Honiton Bellringers

12.30pm: Town Crier Dave Retter opens the Big Tea

12.30 – 4pm: Honiton's Big Tea (there will be a competition for the best dressed tables.)

On Saturday and Sunday there will be food available from Flame Cave, India in a Jar, Gourmet Burgers, Daisy Blue Delights. Life is what you Bake It, Albethel Waffles and Donuts, Benedicts Bar and Norcotts.
