A new nature initiative for Honiton is asking residents to help decide the green future of the town.

Newly launched Wild Honiton is a two-year project aimed at improving residents' connection to green spaces within the town.

Led by the Wild East Devon team, the proposed project will look to enhance biodiversity and access to nature and will build on the success of the current Wild Exmouth project.

Wild Honiton aims to focus on the creation and initial improvement of the town's green spaces that encourages greater use, centring on walking routes and habitat restoration.

Honiton groups and key partners will be involved to help develop experimental and rewarding outdoor activities and events.

Wild Honiton Lead, Will Jones said: "All project aims, objectives, outputs and delivery will be guided by the outcome of a consultation to ensure the project is entirely driven by local public appetite and requirements, so please spend five minutes filling out the survey to help direct this positive project for Honiton.

"We want to encourage more people to use the parks, public gardens and other outdoor open spaces within Honiton.

"The first stage is to find out what people that live in or near Honiton think about the green spaces and what improvements they think are needed."

A link to the survey can be found here and takes just five minutes to complete.
