An established Honiton restaurant is closing its doors for the final time this weekend.

The Honiton Wine Bar has announced it will be closing permanently today (July 22).

A statement on its door said: "It is with great sadness that the Honiton Wine Bar will be closed from July 22.

"We fought hard but sadly can no longer continue due to [the] cost of living and rising costs impacting hospitality."

The restaurant is run by Lisa Beigan and her husband Pete, who also runs Flame Cave Pizza.

Earlier this year Bruv's Bar also closed and the owners also cited difficult trading circumstances.
